"No" You frowned at your boyfriend who had a grin plastered on his handsome face. The two of you engaging in a stare contest trying to tell him that you weren't going to give in into his manipulative motives or plans, but he, he was confident he would win this.

Not to mention the fact that the loud noises of people and children screaming, the smell of the delicious sugary food that was being sold was becoming distracting.

But you wouldn't dare to look anywhere else.

And he was starting to become slightly desperate. Seeing how stubborn you were, with a sigh he placed his elbows on the table where the two of you were sitting, without breaking eye contact, he used his hands to rest his chin on them. The grin ever so present on his face.

"________, what's the matter? I just want us to have fun" Finally he sighed and faked a hurt look. You scoffed.

"Vrisk, we've been dating for five years. You should know I'm scared of heights" A blush of embarrassment dusted your cheeks as you pouted, looking down.

The two of you had agreed to go out today seeing how you had not spent enough time with him, that, and he didn't want John, his ex boyfriend, to spend so much time with you.

Something you found quite cute because even though the two of you had been dating for such a long time Vrisk got jealous a lot. You didn't mind though, it was a different behavior than the one he always wore.

So what? You thought your date would be going to the movies and maybe staying at his hive, seeing how you had come to visit him to Alternia, and then cuddle for a while. Instead he took you to an amusement park.

The first few hours were spent with the two of you walking around  and eating cotton candy, well at least he was enjoying it. He often teased you because you were three inches smaller than him and he was having fun whenever you pouted and tried to snatch the candy off of his hand.

You were having fun also, seeing how he would often become distracted and you would steal kisses from him. Earning a surprised look on his face before turning into a smug one.

But you knew that today was too perfect to be true, don't take me wrong, as much as you love Vrisk and he loves you, your dates weren't exactly really romantic, something you were thankful for seeing how you hated doing romantic things for a period of time.

Vrisk understands this, agreeing he isn't much of an affectionate type of troll so the two of you were quite good in your relationship.

"Really?" His eyes widened and you rolled your eyes. "I must've forgot, oops?" He shrugged and let out a chuckle.

His cerulean colored eyes traveled to your lips before he leaned in a bit, seeing how the table was in between the two of you. You smiled and leaned in, leaving a quick kiss on his lips.

"How come you can forget about what happened on Karkat's birthday?" You asked with a raised eyebrow and Vrisk only shook his head, his black short hair following suite.

"I didn't forget, how could I. Man Karkat was so angry that day!"

"And so was I!"

"But you looked so cute when you realized you and Karkat were standing on the hot air balloon"

You felt a smile form into your lips as you remembered that day. It had been a week where you and Vrisk had been fighting over the fact that he was having, what he called, 'Hate pail' with Eridan Ampora. You didn't have any knowledge of troll romance, or rather, Karkat had been lecturing you about it. But you only caught bits from his lecture.

To say the least, you had been pretty pissed off, and seeing how Karkat's wriggling day was coming up, Vrisk had offered to throw him a party. Something everyone found strange but didn't question it, or at least Karkat did.

It had turned out that Vrisk had set it all up to prank you and Karkat into setting foot on an air balloon. How did he not make it noticeable? You weren't sure. But you had started to freak out when you noticed you weren't on ground, all the while Karkat was shouting profanities at Vrisk. You weren't really sure, but you were pretty sure he was also crying.

And after much freaking out and joining Karkat on his bad word parade towards the Scorpio. You had fallen from the thing, only to be caught by Vrisk who had a huge smile on his face.

You wanted to punch him, but the idiot had kissed you and had said he was sorry.

"Hhm... Looking back at it, I think our relationship seemed more like a black rom than red to even begin with" You thought out loud as your eyes trailed to the side, your eyes landing on the rolled coaster that was probably the most tallest one in the park.

He wanted to ride that one with you. Leading to your previous argument.

"I guess you're right. But that doesn't mean I wasn't flushed for you back then" Vrisk said, noticing your gaze had traveled somewhere else, his eyes widened when he saw you staring at the ride he had wanted to ride.

He stood up and walked towards you, grabbing your hand, you didn't protest, but instead asked where he was taking you. Though by the direction he was going you had a pretty good idea. So trying to dig your heels into the ground to stop him, you realized he was grabbing you with his robot arm

"Fucking great Equius, fucking great"

"C'mon" He dragged out the word like he almost did, you could hear something in his voice which you couldn't exactly place your finger on it. "It'll be fun, I promise" He released your hand and stopped walking, crossing his arms over his chest he turned around to face you with a raised eyebrow. Tapping his foot impatiently on the ground.

"Don't you trust me?" He asked and you glared, oh no, he was not bringing the whole trust issue into this!

You sighed but stepped forward and grabbed his hand. He smiled when he saw you were being cooperative. He had something planned and he needed you to make everything perfect.

"Of course I do" You replied and let the Scorpio lead you towards the line. While your mind was preoccupied with many thoughts swirling around your head. You didn't noticed when Vrisk had started to talk to the guy at the line who nodded.

You hadn't noticed either when the two of you had gotten on the ride, neither when your seat belts were buckled and the safety bar was put down. You did though, when you felt the cart start to rumble and you were moving.

Your eyes widened and you could feel a lump in your throat.

"V-Vrisk! P-please let me down! Oh my god I swear I'll do anything just please let me get down out of this infernal thing!" By now you were shaking and tears were threatening to spill. Your eyes darted to your side where Vrisk was casually sitting back, watching you with a relaxed expression, smiling.

"No can do babe." He replied and shifted his gaze towards the front. All the while you were trying to ignore the fact that you were heading up. And God only knows how long the fall would be.

"Please Vrisk! I want out! This isn't fun!"

"I thought you trusted me, You'll like it. If you're so scared then you can hold my hand" Vrisk said, his eyes never parting from the front, but his hand extended out towards you.
You bit your lip and shakily took his hand with yours, inter lacing your fingers together, you felt him stiffen his grip on you slightly in a  comforting way.

Finally the ride halted to a stop at the top of the thing and you could feel your heart erratically pumping in fear.

You were cursing the fact that Alternians were nocturnal, so all you could see now were the lights of various other rides, and many of the trolls.

Taking a look behind you, you noticed the other carts were empty and now you were starting to get slightly confused.

You were about to question why the ride had stopped and why the two of you were the only ones on the ride when you felt Vrisk's lips on yours.

The two of you stayed like that for what seemed like eternity until your attention was shifted towards the sound of explosions in the sky.

Your eyes widened in surprise and your mouth opened when you saw that the cause of the sound was because of some fireworks.

Though what surprised you the most was the message the fireworks had created. Your eyes watered and both your hands went up to your mouth. Tears spilling down your face you could only stare at the sparkly message in the sky.

You turned to look at Vrisk who had a ring on his hand, his mouth turned into a thin line.
"Will you? I've been flushed for your for the longest time and I wish to spend the rest of my life with you _____." He asked, you could hear the nervousness of his voice from rejection of you, his face adorned a blue blush.

He had spent some days hanging out with John and Rose trying to gather every information on human rituals on engaging their most beloved ones.

He found it rather cliche how the man always had to stand on one knee, deciding to be original he had asked Nepeta on what he could do. Thus that ended up in their current situation.

He thanked Nepeta for being the one to plan all of this, or at least help him. He did most of the hard work.

"Oh my God, yes yes yes! I You nodded rapidly as more tears fell down your cheeks. You couldn't believe Vrisk was asking you to be his wife.

Smiling victorious he grabbed your hand and slipped the ring on your finger. You gave him a closed eyes smile.

"Love you Vrisk"

"Flu- I mean... I love you too _____"
