The monotonous sound of raindrops beating outside and the rooftop of your house alerted you that the sky was currently crying out and the water falling from above only merged with the streets as the day began to seep into a dreary and gray atmosphere, perfect to stay indoors as the streets were most likely deserted excluding those with large umbrellas walking as fast as they can to get to their designated locations.

You liked the sound of rain falling down and hitting any object in it’s way and the smell that came with it, it added a nice touch to your current environment in the empty house after many weeks of stressful behavior from your part when it came to school and the other students who upon your arrival, bombarded you with questions and asking for the truth on things that were foolish.

Or would be if they weren’t so spot on.

Least to say, knowing that school was cancelled due to an explosion in the chemistry lab relieved a big weight off of your shoulders just so you could be lazy and put the last two month’s of hallucinations behind with some junk food and delight hours of just sitting in your chair and eyes glued to your computer screen as you watched the missed episodes of your favorite TV show in hopes of catching up to them. Spoilers wouldn’t do well at all.

Sadly, you couldn’t quite relax, you see…

Behind you, the faintest noise of BEN’s breathing reminded you you weren’t alone, you have been cautious around him ever since his last outburst but still managed to bring up some conversations with him whenever you two didn’t have a lot of things to do, you noticed he tended to cause some sort of interruption on most devices when around and they tended to just malfunction, you were still trying to figure out if he did that on purpose or it was just part of him. Either way it was annoying.

He left and didn’t bother you for a couple of days after the whole incident, but when he came back he had basically come back angry, and wouldn’t dare talk to you, he just stared and stood in corners creepily, his aura made you sick and the air around you compressed when he was around. It was unsettling the fact that he wasn’t speaking, he reminded you of a statue that just wouldn’t leave.

This continued for at least a couple of months and you had already gotten to know BEN to a somewhat personal level in the amount of time that had passed. It scared you to the very brim in those rare moments when you would forget he was always there, just watching, and suddenly out of nowhere he would appear standing besides you a few feet away, red eyes glowing in the dark menacingly. You avoided him and didn’t speak, but even as he stayed there and you would leave out of his field of vision, you could still feel his eyes on you.

You had become quite used to his presence by now, so when he casually yawned and you turned to look behind you, he was just there, lazily floating in mid air as one hand laid across his chest and the other just hanged in there. He felt your stare and turned to face you.

“Sup?”  He smirked and you couldn’t help the smile that came to your face.

“Hey” You looked somewhere else and soon the awkwardness of having nothing else to say became apparent, I mean, what were you exactly supposed to speak with this guy about? He’s been making your life harder than it already is and now he’s just casually floating in your house as if he’s some sort of long-life friend without any attempts to kill you.

BEN only chuckled and went back to his previous position before disappearing in the blink of an eye. You only shrugged and went back to watching your show –you realized you hadn’t stopped it and now you had to go back and wait for the video to buffer- when you realized the room had become freezing in what seemed like a mini second. Not long after the lights went off and you found yourself surrounded in pitch black darkness.

The sound of all windows and bedroom doors opening in a sudden motion made you jump in surprise before you sighed and stood up.
The current situation didn’t make any sense. It hadn’t even been an hour and outside was just been a little bit sunny, the clouds didn’t allow the light to pass through adequately but it wasn’t making anything ridiculously dark as it was now.

Upon further notice, the fact that the floor didn’t feel like a floor at all made you shiver when replaced by it, seemed to be some sort of thick substance, you couldn’t quite decipher what it was but you just knew it had to be something BEN must’ve planned. Obviously it was because there was no one else in the house that was able to do this. Should you play along? Even if you didn’t he would still get mad and will somehow get you to go along his games.

It wasn’t funny the first six times, often times has he made you die, or at least think you were, in the most gruesome ways ever, and all of them inflicted by his own hands, he enjoyed it so much, having control over your own body and knowing you couldn’t do anything but do as he pleases. And even though you were supposed to be used to it, it only proved to further out the restless nights and the high paranoia that crept up the back of your head when you knew you were alone in the house. He gave you some time, just so he could get himself in your good side and then proceeded to creep you out.

That didn’t mean you weren’t currently scared.

You cleared your throat and tried to ignore the awful feeling of the goo substance that seemed to grow as the time ticked by.

“What? Are you expecting me to go into the halls like an idiot?” Arms crossed over your chest, you couldn’t help the sinking feeling your heart just had. It was too quiet, way too quiet, you were sure not even your breathing was being acknowledged by your ears. Somehow this just added more to your discomfort.

A minute went by and you still didn’t get a response.

Heavy breathing from the back of your neck alerted you that someone was behind you, but before you could protest you felt two strong hands firmly on your shoulders, the force of them pushing you down hurting your legs until you couldn’t stand up anymore and fell to floor, the substance managing to cover half of your body and some getting into your mouth, you spit it up.

“Careful now, we don’t want you eating this stuff. I have so much stuff I want to do with you” BEN cooed before letting out an ear shattering scream and pushing you down ever further into the unknown liquid.

Before you knew it, your lungs had been filled to the very brim with the substance and the pressure of it all quickly came crashing down on you. You extended your arms outwards in hope of getting someone to help you but instead found hands beginning to drag you down deeper and deeper. You struggled top get free and tried to scream out, but only managed to let the hands grab you by your mouth and keep pulling.

The more and more you went down, the more hands you could feel dragging you down, all followed by ear piercing screams of pain and suffering. They were saying something you couldn’t understand and soon enough you found yourself screaming whatever it was they were screaming.
You tried taking a deep breath and all of the sudden you feel yourself being pulled forward with a foreign strength. The light that abruptly came into vision blinded you momentarily and you felt yourself being thrown across the place, your back hitting the wall with a loud thud as you felt at least two bones pop outplace. You let out a groan and tried to stand up, you couldn’t, and the pain was unbelievable.

You felt the warm trickling of blood trailing down your body, the hands that were holding you managed to do that, you couldn’t help but shiver.
Realization finally dawned on you that you weren’t breathing, your eyes still closed you began to greedily take as much air as possible, in the process coughing up rather violently the substance and trying to open your eyes. You looked down and noticed that whatever it was seemed to be black.

Two feet were located right in front of you and you looked up. BEN’s face came into view but something was very odd about him and it made you whimper and back a little towards the wall, your body movement in slow and painful actions wasn’t helping in the slightest.

The silence in the room began and when you blinked BEN wasn’t there anymore. You blinked once more and noticed you were alone…

In your bedroom.

No.
Something was definitely off here.

If you were in your bedroom alone, then why were you looking at yourself?

You aren’t alone. You’re with yourself.

She’s just standing there. Watching you.

You can’t help the tears that escape your eyes as you kept staring at yourself standing in the opposite side of the room.

Slowly your other you’s mouth begins to open, then widens and keeps widening until it is beyond human standards but she just keeps going and going until you can’t see her face, and it’s the most agonizing thing you’ve ever seen and the sound of static accompanying it isn’t helping.

You find yourself mimicking her actions; you’re standing, but your body protests against it. Your mouth is open and widens, but stops until your jaw hurts, but your other you keeps going and you feel lightheaded, the room feels heavy and suddenly your breath hitches. Not because in a blink of an eye your doppelganger is standing in front of you, you’re gasping because your head is inside her and you can clearly see yourself in the seat near the computer, just watching your tv show and BEN’s casually standing there.

Everything’s frozen though.

Or at least it seems so. BEN’s face looks up and you can see his sharp teeth covered in blood, the black ooze from his eyes rolls down faster on his face and he’s staring at you and waving. That’s not possible.

He can’t be seeing you.

But then you notice he isn’t looking at you.

He’s looking behind you.

And that thought alone makes a shiver run down your spine.

You’re suddenly pulled backwards and you try to struggle out of the giant hand’s grasp. Your back meets the wall and slowly and painfully you’re starting to go through it. You screamed and screamed as you desperately grabbed something to hold onto, the tears running down you face, your throat is sore and you don’t give a damn over your aching body.

“N-no! Help me please” The sob escapes you and the desperation in your voice only grows. Half your body is already at the other side and you fear that you will be sent back to that agonizing place with all those souls and it feels freezing.

Your other you just watches and closes her mouth, she tilts her head to the side. Walks backwards towards her original spot when you first saw her sat down and waved at you, the smile on her face awfully large for it.

You’re soon engulfed in darkness.

The whispers begin to fill the room and you try to back up into a corner. Finally, your back meets a wall and you bring your knees up to your chest, you bury your head in there and begin to cry.

Something told you you weren’t going to get out of here any time soon.

You woke up some time later to the feel of fingers running through your hair, your head was resting on someone’s lap and you could vaguely make out the words spoken by that person, but everything felt so calm and you couldn’t help but drift back into slumber.

This happened various times, every time you woke up again you would find that the voice became clearer and clearer and that you weren’t so tired anymore.

The sense of dread ever since you woke up hadn’t left, but it had diminished and been replaced with something else. It was nice but your head was screaming at you to get away, your body wouldn’t respond.

“Jack’s just speaking bullshit. I’m not attached to you” The strange voice seemed to sigh before pulling rather hard on your hair, you flinched but couldn’t speak. Your mouth seemed to be shut.

“You’re just really fun to play with.” They chuckled and kept pulling hard on your hair.

“I’ve been at this for seven months now, you’re not boring. My victims only last three months top, you’re special __________.” You frowned and they seemed to notice because they told you not to frown. You still couldn’t speak, but your eyes had become adjusted to the blinding light in the room.

“And you’re cute. Gotta give you that”

You mentally scoffed, if you weren’t so exhausted you would’ve probably argued with this guy – you assume it’s a guy? It could be a woman for all you know-

“But things never last and I’ll grow bored.”

“Yet…”

“ I think you’ll be an exception sweethcheeks”

One last caress on your cheek and you found yourself falling into darkness once more.

Waking up in cold sweat and gasping for air wasn’t the prettiest thing in the world and you clearly knew this because it’s how you’ve been waking up lately. The sound of rain alerted you that you were in fact awake now and you were in your room. You took the covers off of you and got off the bed, almost managing to fall on your own feet because your legs felt wobbly.

To the side of the room, BEN sat atop one of the dressers and watched you with an un-amused face. In hand he held a cigarette and breathed out the smoke. You rolled your eyes and decided to ignore him as you went around the room trying to see if anything was out of place and trying to push back the massive headache forming in your head.

“What? No good morning greeting?” BEN pouted, you scoffed.

“It’s not morning you asshole” The blush that crept up your face when your voice cracked and BEN chocked on his laughter didn’t help the insult. “And I don’t even want to see you”

“Meh, I’ll let this one pass, what’s with all the screaming you did Zalgo will reconsider letting me off the hook” BEN rolled his eyes and smiled. You watched as he brought the cigarette to his mouth, inhaled and disappeared. Reappearing in front of you and blowing the smoke on your face. You coughed and with a hand diminished the smoke.

“Zalgo?”

“Some dude with his panties up in a notch. Don’t worry about him”

“Right…”

“…”

“…”

“Are you mad?” BEN’s question completely caught you off guard and you couldn’t help the incredulous look you gave him.

“Mad? Mad… mad? Me. Of course not. Because having to look over my back every three seconds when I’m taking a shower isn’t bad. Or how thanks to you my grades have dropped, your quickly making me lose my sanity and I can’t tell whether things that happen to me are real or fake. Then no BEN, I’m absolutely not mad you asshole!” You spoke quickly, the sarcasm and rage drifting form your mouth spit out like venom at the link look alike.

BEN seemed to think about something before replying.

“So… that means no?”

BEN evaded the lamp that was thrown at him with an amused face as he watched you storm out of the room, your frustrated yells were music to his ears.

“Ah, she’s so fun!”
Woah! Longest chapter yet. I feel like every time I upload a new chapter, it just gets plain out confusing. I'm still planning to reveal BEN's actual motives and some other unexplained stuff (It will become really important as the story progresses) in a much much later chapter. Also, expect some sort of romance thing in the next chapter? idk.

If there's any grammatical mistakes please don't refrain from telling me! <3

Haha, I have no self-control when it comes to these things
I've had this in my stash for over two weeks
It was bugging me.
I mean, There's only one more week left of Lent and ugh
Man, next year I'll try and ACTUALLY accomplish something.

But yeah, Requests will still be uploaded two days after Lent.
I should at least finish something correctly.
